Congratulations go out to this month’s Sycamore Shoutout award recipients. This past week, President Mike Godard presented the monthly recognition.
October, the shoutouts went to Dr. Kara Harris with the Bayh College of Education and Tiffany Mulligan with General Counsel.
Harris has worked at the university for more than 18 years and has led outreach initiatives to K-12 schools, transfer institutions, and community and industry partners through curricular pathways, mentoring, and special programs.
She currently teaches courses in secondary education and career and technical education in the Bayh College of Education and serves as a co-advisor for the Colleagues Helping Instill Lifelong Learning (C.H.I.L.L.) student organization.
Dr. Harris serves the university as the Faculty Athletic Representative and as a faculty fellow in the Faculty Center for Teaching Excellence. “Dr. Harris is an asset to the Bayh College of Education and the University as a whole,” Dr. Carrie Ball, interim dean of the Bayh College of Education, said. “We are so thrilled to see her receive this well-deserved shoutout from President Godard and hope it shows just how much she’s appreciated.”
Tiffany Mulligan also received the Sycamore Shoutout. Mulligan is the assistant general counsel at Indiana State. She’s been in that role for just over a year. During her time, she’s provided legal strategy and advice on many university-related matters and helped craft language for important policies on campus.
Before her time at Indiana State, Mulligan served in several legal roles, including chief of staff and chief legal counsel for the Office of the Indiana Inspector General/State Ethics Commission, general counsel for the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, and associate general counsel for the Office of Governor Mike Pence, among many other positions.
“We are very fortunate to have Tiffany as part of our team,” General Counsel J.D. Lux said. “Her experience and expertise has added value to this office and its function.”
Congratulations to both Sycamore Shoutout recipients!
