Indiana State University has promoted Jason Casey to Executive Director of Event Services and Facilities, bringing an experienced campus leader into the role following the retirement of longtime director Fred Clark.
Casey previously served as Assistant Director of Event Services and Facilities and most recently led the department in an interim capacity. He succeeds Clark, who announced his retirement in June following 25 years of service to Indiana State.
“Jason has been a valued member of Event Services and Facilities for many years and brings a tremendous wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise to this role,” said Vice President for Student Experience and Engagement Nancy Rogers. “He is highly regarded by his colleagues across campus and by our external clients for his professionalism, collaborative approach and commitment to exceptional customer service.”
Throughout his time at Indiana State, Casey has helped support a wide range of major events and activities, including intercollegiate athletics, concerts and special events, Special Olympics, conferences and commencements. Rogers said that breadth of experience has given Casey a strong understanding of both the complexity of the University’s event operations and the needs of campus and community partners.
“Jason consistently prioritizes problem-solving and the customer experience, always looking for ways to ensure our clients and visitors have the best possible experience in our facilities,” Rogers said. “I am confident Jason’s leadership, institutional knowledge and service-focused approach will make him an outstanding Executive Director of Event Services and Facilities.”
Vice President and Director of Athletics Nathan Christensen praised Casey’s collaborative leadership, particularly as Indiana State continues to explore opportunities to maximize the Hulman Center as a University and community asset.
“From the moment Jason stepped into the interim director role, it was evident that he brought a willingness to be creative, flexible and, most importantly, to think about the bigger picture,” Christensen said. “He understands that the future of the Hulman Center is bigger than any one department or organization, and that our greatest opportunities will come from working together.”
Christensen added that Casey has built a strong partnership with Athletics and demonstrated a commitment to creating opportunities that benefit Indiana State and the broader community.
“We are excited to have Jason lead the Hulman Center and look forward to working alongside him as we build a bright future for this important campus and community asset,” Christensen said.
