About:
The Exhibition, Little Windows into Life, features a collection of eight miniature galleries from the ARTH 481 Curatorial Practices course. Each curatorial project showcases different themes and mediums.
The collection as a whole explores the external and internal human experience. External themes feature physical experiences of racing, architecture, and environments of stillness, while the internal narratives explore gender, identity, race, memory, and nostalgia. These experiences are shown across a range of mediums, from traditional oil and acrylic painting to photography, printmaking, and audio. All mini exhibits have an interactive element that allows the audience to engage directly with these themes, such as creating sand art and displaying it within the model itself—visitors become active participants in the work.
Little Windows into Life encourages multi-sensory participation with each exhibit. These interactions invite audiences not only to observe but to immerse themselves, encouraging a deeper personal connection to both the external and internal narratives in one’s life.
